Harry Berberian aka MC Sampler (aka Sampler X)
Bringin’ Comedy to the Rap World since 1991!

Harry Artin Berberian aka MC Sampler, son of a Metropolitan Opera Singer, is a comic and rapper from the burbs who was profiled on MTV News after he recorded the rap parodies “Can’t Write This” and “Pay” as a response to all the blatant sampling going on back in the day. Kurt Loder loved it and actually laughed (for the first time) during an interview. As a statement, “Can’t Write This” (a mock rap of “Can’t Touch This”) is the most sampled song in hip hop industry. MC Sampler scored again with his response to Baby Got Back with the underground and radio hit song “Baby Got Jack” (praised by the likes of George Clinton), and then followed that up with a parody of “Intergalactic “ by the Beastie Boys with his “Into Lewinsky” during the Clinton scandal. MC Sampler was pissed though, because his song “Baby Got Jack” blew up on the charts, but he never got credited with writing the song. Then MC Sampler felt like he wasn’t taken seriously enough, so he started experimenting with different names and landed with the name “Sampler X” (“rap that rated triple f: Phat, Funky, Fresh”) and started releasing serio-comedic songs that were original. That didn’t really get him anywhere, so now he’s returning to his mock rap roots with his upcoming hit song: “This is Why I’m Shot” (a parody of Mims Song “This is Why I’m Hot”).

Sampler X has recently been getting into some heat with ICP (Insane Clown Posse) Fans. He goes on the ICP radio show all the time with resident radio kook “Upchuck the Clown” and gets fans all riled up, because Sampler X is pissed the show doesn’t play his music and feels he’s being kept down by the man. “Being a white rapper is hard, specially if you grow up privileged, living in the burbs, and getting your college degree. My parents should be shot for keeping me down”-Sampler X. Sampler X’s Rap That’s Rated Triple “F” “Phat, Phunky, Phresh” is here to rap the story of the angry, disenfranchised white man. SAMPLER X is an “Un-Urban Rapper” who knows he’s had too easy of a life growing up sheltered in the suburbs, going to private schools, and being smothered with too much love from his parents. He knows that’s the reason he’s not “hard enough” to be perceived as a rapper and that really pisses him off. Now SAMPLER X’s few prospects include getting a day job and having to live with his mom in his parents home until he’s 50! SAMPLER X’s goal is to blow up and get a record deal, but it hasn’t happened for 16 phuckin' years! SAMPLER X has a mix tape available through his production company Electric Eel Entertainment. The mixtape is called “The Price is Wrong” and SAMPLER X is currently promoting the original rap songs: “The Price is Wrong”, “The Three Stooges of Rap”, and “Love Me Don’t”. SAMPLER X is also involved in the performance and production of a television pilot that takes a satirical look at the music industry, called “Music is a Joke."
